The Heavy Rotation that I thought would get posted during the week ran up against my schoolwork. I was able to get most of the rest of it written yesterday, however, so I should go up this week. I can't believe this is the 400th time I've done a Sunday Shuffle. I've had periods where I wandered away from the feature over the last 9 1/2 years, but I always come back. I've liked the idea of shuffle mode ever since I got a 5 CD changer in the early 1990s. I love listening to albums, of course, but it's nice to mix things up and hear songs in a different context. I've always been into stats and being able to see my play counts has been enjoyable too. It's always nice to hear that people like scrolling through my list each week, but I've always wanted to share the music. I like the Spotify affords me the opportunity to let everyone hear what I hear each Sunday morning; I hope you're enjoying listening along. In the weeks leading up to this, I've thought about announcing that I would be retiring this feature for a while. Last week was a struggle, as I had to get back in the swing of schoolwork in addition to my two jobs. I definitely learned something, though, and I'm already doing better at the balance. It's time once again to check in with what I've been listening to the most over the past few weeks... Band of Horses/Cease To Begin - Cooler temperatures and changing leaves put me in the mood for this band and the mood stayed when the weather turned warmer again. There is a nice convergence in the epic mood-setting of this band as you are driving down a road where colorful leaves are piling up in the bright sunshine. No one is ever gonna love you more than I do, indeed. Band of Horses/Infinite Arms - One BoH album lead to another, in this case their excellent effort from last year. This album is absolutely one of my 2010 favorites and probably is my favorite Band of Horses album at this point, which is saying something. This is such a strong batch of songs.
