I'm feeling pretty good this morning because I just had my second outside run in a row under an 8:30 mile pace. And even though there's still snow piled everywhere, it was around 40 degrees with the wind chill. I'll take that. I'll also take the fact that today is the last Sunday in February. I have started writing my next Heavy Rotation, which should I be able to post some time this week. I also think my new feature will start on Saturday, so some non-shuffle content to look forward to. I can't believe this is the 400th time I've done a Sunday Shuffle. I've had periods where I wandered away from the feature over the last 9 1/2 years, but I always come back. I've liked the idea of shuffle mode ever since I got a 5 CD changer in the early 1990s. I love listening to albums, of course, but it's nice to mix things up and hear songs in a different context. I've always been into stats and being able to see my play counts has been enjoyable too. It's always nice to hear that people like scrolling through my list each week, but I've always wanted to share the music. I like the Spotify affords me the opportunity to let everyone hear what I hear each Sunday morning; I hope you're enjoying listening along. In the weeks leading up to this, I've thought about announcing that I would be retiring this feature for a while. I hope Peyton Manning can win another Super Bowl today...but I have the feeling the Panthers are going to run away with it. I do hope it's a competitive game...sure, deviled eggs and tiny meatballs and crab dip and Yuengling is all well and good, but a boring game is no fun. Before I get to the game, I have school work to do. I think I can let the shuffle run to 50 songs while I'm working, though.
