I can't believe this is the 400th time I've done a Sunday Shuffle. I've had periods where I wandered away from the feature over the last 9 1/2 years, but I always come back. I've liked the idea of shuffle mode ever since I got a 5 CD changer in the early 1990s. I love listening to albums, of course, but it's nice to mix things up and hear songs in a different context. I've always been into stats and being able to see my play counts has been enjoyable too. It's always nice to hear that people like scrolling through my list each week, but I've always wanted to share the music. I like the Spotify affords me the opportunity to let everyone hear what I hear each Sunday morning; I hope you're enjoying listening along.
In the weeks leading up to this, I've thought about announcing that I would be retiring this feature for a while. I don't like that this blog has basically become the Sunday Shuffle and I want to do some more writing. I have another feature I've thought about doing for years, but it doesn't have to replace this one. So, as of this morning, I don't know. Sunday Shuffle #401 might show up next week, or a month from now, or even further down the road. No matter when it does, I thank you for reading, whether you started with #1 or even just with this one. Music is great, isn't it?
